The
Principal
Carlos J. Silva founded Silcon in 1992, after gaining extensive experience
with a civil engineering firm and a prominent real estate developer/builder.
His vision at the time was to build an extremely customer-focused
company. And for more than a decade, Mr. Silva has in fact built a
company that is as much about building personal relationships as it
is about cementing bricks and mortar. An unwavering dedication to
client satisfaction not only differentiates Silcon; it’s a big
reason for its success. And while the Silcon family of companies has
grown dramatically in the past few years, he always makes it a point
to take an active role in all projects so that every client gets the
personal attention they deserve.
Along
with running a business and taking care of his own family, Mr. Silva
donates considerable time to the community. He is a Trustee for
the Island Beach State Park; Chairman of Portuguese Care; and Chairman
of The Building and Grounds Committee for the Drumthwacket Foundation,
overseeing all the improvements and repairs to the New Jersey Governor’s
mansion. Additional civic and charitable organizations include the
Silva Foundation, which provides financial support to the families
of children diagnosed with cancer; as well as the Silva Gallery
of Art at the Pennington School, of which Mr. Silva is the primary
benefactor.
The Company
Silcon
Group is a natural outgrowth of Mr. Silva’s extensive experience
in general contracting, construction, project management, and real
estate development. From modest retail and residential projects,
to grand mixed-use towers, Silcon Group has the experience, expertise,
and resources to plan, design, build and manage. Our in-house team
of Architects, Engineers, Designers, Project Executives, and Property
Managers can take a project from initial concept through approvals
and to its ultimate realization.
Silcon
Group has been particularly successful in working with State and
Local Governments on Community Redevelopment Projects, with several
such projects currently in progress.
